Olivier Bonneau
Founder of OBBOIS and expert in sustainable forest governance and due diligence systems.
“My mission has always been the same: protect forests, respect those who depend on them, and help businesses grow without compromising either.”
Background
Olivier trained as an engineer at the École Supérieure du Bois in Nantes, where he developed a passion for sustainable forest management and the social and environmental challenges linked to tropical ecosystems. His first professional experiences took him to Africa and Asia, where he conducted forest inventories, worked with local communities, and contributed to the preservation of natural resources.
He later expanded his work to Europe, supporting companies impacted by evolving regulations and sourcing constraints. Convinced that European businesses underestimated the risks associated with illegal logging and unsustainable supply chains, he founded OBBOIS to help them implement due diligence systems and responsible sourcing practices. This journey now continues with Supply Logica, where he focuses on operationalizing deforestation-free strategies.
Expertise
Olivier combines field experience, engineering knowledge, and regulatory insight to guide companies in understanding and applying sustainable forest governance frameworks. His expertise spans due diligence systems, risk assessment, and the alignment of procurement policies with international regulations.
Capable of bridging operational realities with compliance requirements, he helps organizations transform environmental constraints into structured, credible, and long-lasting sourcing practices.
